LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels continued to drop on Tuesday due to lower capesize rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 18 points to 1,119 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
